What We Specify
We specify the right product for your commercial space and handle delivery and full installation.
01 / Sit-Stand Desks
Height-Adjustable & Sit-Stand Desks
Height-adjustable commercial office desks are the most requested workstation type in current commercial fit-outs.
Dual-motor lift mechanisms for stability under load and reliable cycling over commercial use periods
Programmable height presets: essential for hot-desking environments where the same workstation is used by multiple people each day
Weight capacity rated for dual-monitor setups with docking station and peripheral equipment
Anti-collision sensors: standard specification for occupied offices where a moving desk surface could contact a chair, bag, or person
02 / Collaborative Workstations
Open-Plan Benching & Collaborative Workstations
Compared to individual desks, benching delivers more usable surface area per square foot and easier reconfiguration as headcount changes. TNT specifies benching layouts before procurement, ensuring the system fits the floor plan before placing orders.
Linear benching runs: single- and double-sided configurations for rows of workstations, with shared surface and integrated power/data access
Back-to-back benching: face-to-face or back-to-back pairs, typically used in sales, customer service and collaborative team environments
Surface depth: minimum 24 inches for dual-monitor setups, shallower surfaces create ergonomic problems for users with larger screens
Integrated power: cable management channels and desktop power access reduce under-desk cable runs and improve workstation cleanliness
Frame finish options: powder-coated metal in silver, white, black and custom corporate colors matched to the office palette on larger projects
03 / Private Desks
Executive & Private Office Desks
Executive desks for private offices are a different specification from open-plan workstations. The material and configuration communicate something about the office and the person in it. TNT brings material samples and coordinates with interior design when the executive suite is part of a wider fit-out.
L-shaped and U-shaped executive configurations: maximum surface area for roles requiring simultaneous screen and document use, or dual-screen setups with a side return
Single-pedestal and double-pedestal desks: the standard configuration for private offices where storage is handled by a separate credenza unit
Material options: high-pressure laminate (durable, cost-effective, wide color range); thermally fused laminate; wood veneer (legal, financial, executive environments); solid wood for bespoke commissions
Matching credenzas, lateral file units and bookcase returns: specify as a coordinated package rather than individual pieces to ensure finish consistency
04 / Corner Workstations
L-Shaped & Corner Workstations
L-shaped workstations provide more usable surface area than a straight desk without requiring a larger room footprint. They are particularly well-suited to roles with heavy screen use, large-format work, or positions that regularly reference physical documents alongside a monitor.
Fixed-height L-shaped workstations: the standard specification for private offices where desk height does not need to change between users
Height-adjustable L-shaped configurations: available in sit-stand versions for roles where the user prefers to alternate between seated and standing
Return depth options: standard returns are typically 24 inches deep, with wider returns (30 or 36 inches) available for roles using large monitors or plotters
Traffic flow consideration: L-shaped workstations require more floor clearance on two sides
Finish matching: L-shaped configurations are specified to match the primary desk surface, including laminate color, edge profile and leg finish
05 / Multipurpose
Training & Multipurpose Desks
Training rooms, multipurpose spaces and flexible meeting rooms require furniture that sets up and breaks down quickly without tools. The failure mode in this category is operability: a training table that takes fifteen minutes to fold does not get folded. TNT specifies training desks on the basis of how the room will actually be used, not how it looks in a showroom setup.
Folding and flip-top tables: flip-top designs allow the surface to fold flat so tables can be nested and rolled to a storage position by a single person
Nesting casters: locking casters allow nested table rows to be moved as a group and positioned without individual handling – the practical standard for any training room used more than twice a week
Surface dimensions: standard training table configurations are 18″ × 60″ or 24″ × 72″ – the 24″ depth accommodates a laptop and a notepad side by side, which is the minimum for most training formats
Surface durability: high-pressure laminate rated for daily reconfiguration – training room surfaces see more edge and surface impacts than standard workstations and should be specified accordingly
Power access options: integrated power modules in the table surface, or separate power columns for rooms where cabling flexibility is required
06 / Custom
Custom & Configured Workstation Solutions
TNT’s direct manufacturer relationships allow us to specify custom laminate finishes, non-standard dimensions and configured packages, including matching workstation accessories that are not available through retail furniture channels.
Custom laminate finishes: match to a corporate brand palette, an existing interior material, or a specific architectural finish available through manufacturer color-match programs
Non-standard dimensions: workspaces specified to fit an irregular floor plate, an angled wall, or a reception environment that does not conform to a standard rectangular configuration
Sector-specific requirements: GREENGUARD-certified materials for healthcare and education environments; GSA-compliant products for government office specifications; BIFMA-certified construction for all commercial deployments
Complete workstation packages: monitor arms, keyboard trays, task lighting and cable management specified and installed as part of the workstation package
Volume configuration: for offices furnishing 20 or more workstations, TNT manages the full specification across all stations to ensure consistency in finish, height and accessory setup across the floor
Our Process
Our Process
Needs Assessment
We start with headcount, roles, floor plan dimensions, budget and timeline. This conversation determines which workstation types and quantities are needed before selecting any products.
Space Planning
We produce a floor plan layout showing workstation placement, aisle widths and power and data adjacency before procurement begins. Benching runs are laid out to scale. Private office desk clearances are confirmed.
Product Specification
Manufacturer and product selection by role, use case and budget. We provide material samples where finish decisions are involved. BIFMA and GREENGUARD certifications are confirmed where required. Lead times are locked in before order placement.
Procurement & Order Management
TNT places and manages the order directly with the manufacturer. Commercial pricing, not retail. We track production and shipping milestones and communicate status throughout, so you are not chasing a vendor for updates.
Delivery & Installation
Furniture arrives assembled, positioned and fully adjusted. Sit-stand desk presets are programmed for each user. Monitor arms are set at the correct height. Cable management is installed. We do not drop boxes and leave.
Post-Installation Review
For projects of 20 or more workstations, we return at 30 days to confirm the setup is working as intended and address any height, configuration, or accessory adjustments before they become recurring issues.
