01 / Plants & Planters

Interior Plants & Planters for Commercial Spaces

Furniture makes a room furnished. Plants make it feel alive. This is the idea behind biophilic design – to bring natural elements into the workplace. At TNT, we treat plants and planters as a single design element.

We offer:
  • Live, preserved, or artificial plants selection. Live plants need regular care. Preserved plants are real botanicals treated to need no upkeep and they hold their look for years.

  • Maintenance programs. For live plants, we can coordinate a contract with a specialist horticulturist. They visit weekly or every other week to water, prune, fertilize and swap out any plants that decline.

  • Planter materials. Fiberglass, ceramic, resin, self-watering planters and more.

  • Sizing. We always specify the plant and planter together, in proportion to each other and the room.

02 / Artwork & Wall Décor

Artwork & Wall Décor

Art should fit the room it lives in. We build a coordinated program that includes selecting, sourcing, framing and installing art that matches your organization’s culture.

Here's what we offer:
  • Different art types: Original pieces (painting, photography, mixed media), giclée prints on fine art paper or canvas, large-format graphics and dimensional wall art like relief panels, metal pieces and woven textiles.

  • Scale planning: The most common mistake is art that’s too small. A small print on a big conference room wall looks like an oversight. We always size the art to fit the wall.

  • Framing selection: Metal section frames, float mounts, or frameless gallery mounts, matched to the art and your design direction. UV-protective glazing is standard for photos and paper works, since direct light can fade them.

  • Installation: We choose anchors based on the wall. Drywall anchors are matched to stud spacing, masonry anchors go on heavier works and wire hanging systems suit art that needs to move.

  • Local sourcing: Want to reflect local identity? We can help you source from Charlotte, NC artists and the regional arts community.

03 / Accessories & Objects

Decorative Accessories & Objects

This is the layer that finishes a room. When accessories get added later by a facilities team, they often miss the palette and scale that make a space feel complete. That’s why we curate them as part of the full furniture program.

We specify:
  • Reception desk. A well-chosen vase, small plant, or branded object signals professionalism. A bare desk looks empty. An overcrowded one looks unmanaged.

  • Conference tables. A line of low bowls, a row of plants, or objects that match the table’s finish give it personality between meetings and clear away easily for working sessions.

  • Shelving and credenzas. Organized displays of books, objects and plants turn plain storage into something curated.

  • Styling objects. Vases, bowls, sculptures, and decorative (non-burning) candles, all chosen to match your space’s palette and texture.

  • Brand objects. Custom paperweights, bookends and sculptures that carry your logo into reception and executive areas.

04 / Soft Furnishings

Window Treatments & Soft Furnishings

Window treatments do two jobs: they control light, glare and privacy and they soften a hard-edged room. We specify them alongside rugs as one soft furnishings layer, so color and texture work together.

Key elements include:
  • Roller shades. The commercial standard. Clean profile, motorization options and opacity ranging from sheer (lets in views, cuts glare) to blackout (ideal for presentation rooms and private offices).

  • Solar shades. Woven fabrics with an openness factor from 1% to 10%, balancing outside views against heat and glare. Tighter weaves usually go on south- and west-facing windows to manage Charlotte’s afternoon sun. We always check window orientation and glare sensitivity before choosing.

  • Motorized systems. Controlled by wall switch, remote, or building integration. Standard for high windows and large openings. We coordinate the electrical work with your contractor.

  • Drapery. Full-height panels for private offices, boardrooms and hospitality suites, made from commercial fabric rated to resist fading and hold its shape. Usually paired with a roller shade for light control.

05 / Floor Coverings

Area Rugs & Floor Coverings

A rug anchors a furniture grouping and defines a zone in an open floor plan. Commercial rugs are built for traffic and chair casters, not just looks.

We pay attention to:
  • Construction. Flat-weave and low-pile styles work better than high-pile for office use. They are easier to roll chairs over and easier to clean.

  • Face weight. For office use, we typically recommend 20 oz per square yard or more, which helps rugs hold their appearance under foot traffic.

  • Backing. Non-slip backing or a rug pad is standard on hard floors. Anti-fatigue options work well under standing-height workstations.

  • Placement. A lobby rug defines the seating zone, a conference room rug anchors the table and a lounge rug grounds soft seating and separates it from workstations.

  • Custom rugs. Custom sizes and designs for lobbies, executive offices, and branded spaces. Custom woven rugs typically take 8 to 16 weeks.

  • Floor inserts. Decorative tile insets (often a logo or pattern) set into concrete or hard flooring. We coordinate this with your flooring contractor and our finish and material guidance covers the surrounding surfaces too.

06 / Brand Elements

Signage, Wayfinding & Brand Elements

Signage helps people find their way. Brand elements tell them where they are. Both are part of the finished space, and both depend on getting the mounting details right.

Our team works with:
  • Wayfinding. Room ID plaques, directional signs, floor indicators and restroom signs, in brushed aluminum, brass, stainless steel, acrylic, or printed substrate – all in one consistent system across your building.

  • ADA signage. Permanent room ID signs need tactile characters and Braille, with the character baseline roughly 48 to 60 inches above the floor, per ADA Standards §703. Directional and informational signs don’t need tactile characters. We flag these requirements in your spec, your accessibility consultant should confirm final placement.

  • Dimensional logos. 3D letters or logo elements for reception walls, feature walls and conference entries, in brushed metal, painted MDF, acrylic, or backlit systems. A heavy cast metal logo needs a different mounting approach than a lightweight acrylic one. We confirm the right system for your wall before installation.

  • Glass film. Frosted, patterned, or branded film for partitions, adding privacy, meeting collision-safety requirements and expressing your brand.

  • Environmental graphics. Large-format graphics on walls, glass, or floors – values statements, brand imagery, timelines, or abstract patterns. Unlike curated art, these are specific to your organization.

Our Process

Our Interior Accessories & Décor Selection Process

01

Palette & Brand Review

We review your brand colors, typography and visual identity alongside the furniture and finishes already chosen, so accessories complete the palette instead of competing with it.

02

Zone Plan

We map out locations for artwork, plants, rugs, window treatments and accessories onto your space plan. Scale, proportion and visual weight are confirmed before we source anything.

03

Sourcing & Specification

We source plants, planters, artwork, accessories, rugs and window treatments from commercial suppliers. We order custom pieces like monogrammed rugs, branded objects, and dimensional logos, with lead times confirmed upfront.

04

Procurement

We manage all purchase orders and lead times. Custom items are tracked alongside your furniture, so everything arrives ready for installation.

05

Styling & Installation

Art goes up, plants get placed, rugs get laid, window treatments go and accessories are styled zone by zone after the furniture is in place. This layer goes onto a finished room, not an empty one.

06

Post-Installation Review

A full walkthrough confirms every zone feels complete and that art placement suits the lighting. If you have live plants, we coordinate a maintenance program and you'll get care guidance for every accessory.
