What TNT Specifies for Acoustic & Privacy
We specify and install acoustic panels, phone booths, focus pods, privacy screens and sound-absorbing soft seating for commercial spaces.
01 / Acoustic Panels
Acoustic Panels
Acoustic panels cut down on ambient noise by absorbing sound instead of bouncing it around the room.
Wall-mounted panels: Our main acoustic solution, built to absorb most of the sound energy that hits them
Freestanding panels: Useful for breaking up zones without mounting anything to the wall
Printed acoustic panels: Work as both artwork and sound treatment at once
Open-plan offices: Panels cover roughly a fifth to a third of the wall space to hit the right noise target
Conference rooms: Panels go on the rear wall at minimum, often side walls too
Training rooms: Usually need ceiling treatment in addition to wall panels
Huddle rooms: Panels on two or three walls are typically enough
02 / Focus Pods
Phone Booths & Focus Pods
Phone booths and focus pods give people a quiet space for calls or focused work, without building a permanent room.
Single-occupancy booths: Standing or seated, sized for quick calls or short focus sessions
Seated focus pods: Larger, with a worksurface built in for longer stretches of work
2–4 person meeting pods: Enclosed or semi-enclosed, suited to small group video calls
Ventilation: Every enclosed booth needs powered ventilation, checked against how it will be used
Power and data: Confirmed with electrical and AV contractors before we finalize placement
Fire detection: Checked against local code before anything is ordered
Floor load: Confirmed for upper floors, since booths can weigh a few hundred to over a thousand pounds.
03 / Desk Dividers
Privacy Screens & Desk Dividers
Privacy screens give workstations visual and sound separation, without the cost of a permanent wall.
Panel-mounted desk screens: In glass, acrylic, or acoustic fabric, depending on the need
Freestanding floor screens: Height-adjustable, used to define zones in open-plan spaces
Benching-integrated screens: Built directly into the spine between back-to-back desks
Glass and acrylic screens: Redirect sound rather than absorb it, a visual solution more than an acoustic one
Fabric-wrapped acoustic screens: Provide real sound absorption along with visual separation
04 / Soft Seating
Acoustic Soft Seating
Seating that looks good and absorbs sound at the same time.
High-back lounge chairs: Wing or hood designs that help block and absorb nearby noise
Upholstered booth seating: Enclosed seating for 2 to 6 people, with strong sound absorption built into the interior surfaces
Acoustic sofa back panels: Cut down on echo without needing a fully enclosed space
05 / Ceiling Baffles
Ceiling Baffles & Suspended Panels
These handle the noise that travels overhead. The sound path wall panels and screens can’t reach.
Linear suspended baffles: Work well in high-ceiling or warehouse-style spaces
Flat suspended panels: Reduce echo in standard-height open-plan offices
Acoustic ceiling tiles: Used where the ceiling grid allows for it
MEP coordination: All ceiling elements are planned around HVAC vents and sprinkler heads, in coordination with the general contractor
