What TNT Specifies for Conference & Meeting Environments
All solutions are fully coordinated and installed by our team for commercial spaces across North Carolina.
01 / Tables
Conference Tables
The conference table defines the room. Its size, shape, finish and base configuration determine everything else: how many chairs fit, where the credenza sits and how AV modules are laid out. TNT specifies tables across the full commercial range.
Table shape: Rectangular tables for formal rooms with a clear head of the table. Oval or boat-top tables so everyone can see the screen. Round or square tables for smaller huddle rooms. Modular tables for rooms that double as training or event space
Sizing: About 30 inches of table length per seat. A 10-person table usually runs 10 to 12 feet. A 20-person boardroom table usually runs 18 to 22 feet. We leave at least 36 inches of clearance behind each chair, 48 inches where possible
Top finish: Laminate, veneer, or solid-surface tops, matched to the room’s design direction. Edge style (waterfall, beveled, or radius) confirmed early, since it changes how heavy or light the table feels
Power and data: Outlet and cable placement coordinated with the AV contractor before the table gets ordered, so nothing needs to be drilled or added later
02 / Seating
Conference Seating
Conference chairs have to work with the table. TNT specifies seating and table together as a single program: seat height verified against table underside clearance, visual profile consistent across every position, caster type matched to floor surface. These details are confirmed before the order is placed.
Task-style chairs: Basic adjustability, suited to standard meeting rooms
Training-ready chairs: A wider seat-height range with connectors, for rooms that double as training space.
Seat height vs. table: Checked against the table’s underside clearance before ordering
Caster type: Hard casters for carpet, soft casters for hard floors
Arm height: Checked against the table’s apron so chairs slide in properly
03 / Credenzas & Storage
Credenzas & Storage
The credenza is the working wall of a conference room. It stores AV equipment, stages catering, holds documents and anchors the room visually.
Open shelf units: For easy access and display
Closed-door units with locks: For secure document storage
AV-specific credenzas: Built with ventilated rear panels and cable management for rack-mounted equipment
Standard sizing: 18 to 24 inches deep, 29 to 36 inches tall, tall enough to double as a buffet or display surface during meetings
Built-in millwork: Often specified in boardrooms and executive spaces instead of a freestanding credenza, coordinated as part of the full room fit-out
Matched finishes: Coordinated with the table specification, so everything in the room feels like one set
04 / Power Integration
AV & Power Integration
Modern conference rooms need power and data at every seat. AV integration is the element most often missed on self-managed fit-outs. The furniture arrives, no one specified power modules with the table and the result is post-installation core drilling. TNT treats AV integration as a specification requirement.
Recessed power modules: Outlets, USB charging and data ports built directly into the table surface, the standard for commercial conference rooms
Surface-mount power units: Used for retrofits, thin laminate tops that can’t be recessed, or tighter budgets
Placement and quantity: Confirmed with the AV contractor and electrical plan before the table is ordered
Cable management: Routed from the table to displays, video conferencing units and ceiling microphones, through the credenza or under-floor conduit
05 / Collaborative Furniture
Huddle & Collaborative Furniture
Today’s office has more kinds of meeting spaces than a single conference room. TNT specifies huddle and collaboration furniture as compact but complete – right-sized for the space.
Huddle room tables: Sized for small spaces, typically 36 to 48 inches round or 4 to 6 feet rectangular, for groups of 2 to 4
Seating fit: Confirmed against table height and room clearance before ordering
Display integration: Planned alongside the furniture, not added afterward
Open collaboration furniture: Modular pieces that support informal meetings without the formality of a conference room
06 / Custom Environments
Boardroom & Custom Environments
The boardroom is the highest-specification meeting environment in most organizations where material quality and design coherence are expected to reflect the organization’s standing. TNT specifies boardrooms as a complete program.
Custom or semi-custom table in veneer, stone, or solid-surface finishes
Executive seating in premium materials, coordinated with the table specification
Coordinated credenza and millwork storage
Integrated AV infrastructure – power modules, cable management, AV contractor coordination
Custom branding elements: inlaid logos, branded wall panels, bespoke finish combinations
Coordination with existing design standards or brand guidelines where applicable
